Because when you spend this much of yourself on everyone else - the kids, the job, the people who lean on you - it's easy to forget you're in there too.

I created The Christmas Ritual because I know what that costs. I know what it feels like to give so much of yourself to everyone that by the time it's over, you realise you were never really in it. You were just holding it together for everyone else.

This morning is different.

For three hours, nothing is asked of you. No one needs you to remember, anticipate, or hold anything together. Just you, a pen in your hand, and something taking shape that's entirely yours.

When you leave, you'll have proof. Christmas cards written in your own hand. Something you made, not managed. Not organised for someone else. Made.

You've spent all year being needed. This morning, you get to just be here.

And it doesn't end when the morning does. The Christmas Ritual isn't a one-time thing, it's yours now. A tradition waiting for you again next year, before the holidays ask everything of you all over again.
